June 4th – Rally at Tweed

There were over 25 rallies at public schools in NYC on June 4th to protest budget cuts and teacher layoffs . All were organized by parents and school workers at each school after a call went out from GEM and NYCORE. We ended the day with a rally at the Department of Education. It was covered on the TV news.
